LEARNING MENTOR / TUTOR – THE WAVE PROVISION

We are seeking to appoint an experienced tutor or learning mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will have an interest in promoting and supporting the academic and emotional needs of children in a small room setting, within a mainstream school.

The desired qualities for this post include:

  • Previous experience of teaching, tutoring or academic mentoring of secondary age pupils or similar.
  • A desire to support vulnerable pupils within the school setting, including those with SEN, school avoidance, neurodivergence and poor mental health.
  • An empathetic, patient and supportive mindset.
  • Good listening skills.
  • A flexible approach.
